Ceramic Painting

My daughter loves to go to our local pottery shop and paint an item and we normally go during the school holidays. Sadly our local shop has closed as the owners have decided to retire and enjoy spending more time with their grandchildren.

However I came across this company Popolo Ceramico who have places all over the UK. I found them on Facebook and you can book a at home kit with all things you need to make your item. Then you have the week to paint and then send it back to be fired in their kiln. If you live within the stores radius you can have the items dropped off and collected.

We chose to do a cat and pencil pot holders. There was a good set of instructions in the box as well as paint, brushes and wipes.

Then once we had finished painting we put everything back into the box and we dropped it off with our local Popolo lady. Once it was coated and fired in her kiln she was lovely enough to drop them off. My daughter was thrilled with her cat and I love my sunny pen holders!
